Preparing the Print
I printed this model for a friend, and was a little rushed. So I made a mistake in the print orientation. I left half of the character unsupported. You will see the result below.
The print and the Battle Scar
This is the print without the supports removed.
The battle scar that Victini has is where my main takeaway from this process was. Where the weight of the unsupported side, caused stretching (keep in mind SLA prints are printed upside down).
If I were to redo the print. I would orientate Victini so the supports where along the back, not the side. Which would evenly distribute the weight
Final Product
I think the final product turned out pretty well. Even add a battle scar that I didn’t have to model.
Honestly really cool to see something you modeled in the digital space come alive in the real world.
